Key Objectives of GREENWELD

GREENWELD is focused on making welding more sustainable by advancing education, training, and industry standards. The project’s main goals include:

• Identifying Green Skills for Future Curricula

  GREENWELD aims to define the essential green skills required for tomorrow’s welders - ensuring they are equipped to contribute to a more sustainable industrial future.

• Revising EWF Welder Qualifications

  By updating current certification frameworks, the project will embed environmental competencies into recognized welder qualifications, aligning them with modern sustainability standards.

• Integrating New Training Modules

  New, comprehensive training programs will be developed to incorporate green welding practices and prepare professionals for the demands of a low-impact, greener economy.

• Applying Innovative Learning Tools

  GREENWELD embraces cutting-edge training methods such as Virtual Reality (VR), gamification, and welding simulation to make learning more engaging and effective.
