Carbon Footprint Documentation for the R.U.M. Chair Collection by Wehlers

To meet evolving market and regulatory demands, Wehlers has documented the carbon footprint of each variant in its R.U.M. chair collection, using the European Commission’s PEF (Product Environmental Footprint) framework to quantify environmental impact.

R.U.M., short for ReUsedMaterials, is produced from sources such as fishing nets, pharmalit, or electronic waste. Its circularity is further enhanced by the use of only two fully recyclable materials, allowing for complete reuse without significant degradation. This chair is designed to revolutionize global furniture production - an ambition reinforced by Wehlers’ take-back concept, which ensures long-term resource recovery.
